Rough Creek offers a number of team building activities on request. These team bonding and group activities were specifically designed to develop skills in group communication (verbal & non verbal), listening, following directions, assisting and supporting colleagues, building camaraderie, pride in final results and having a good time.     Feel the rush and the wind in your hair as you fly 650 feet toward Mallard Lake (Included in your package pricing).
  • Climbing Wall
    Challenge your rock climbing skills on our 40 foot climbing wall. Only the agile make it to the top to ring the bell but novices have fun as well (Included in your package pricing).
  • Cattle Drive
    Get a group together and experience a Cattle Drive Rough Creek style. This is an exciting way to see real cowboys at work and to move some cattle yourself. Approx 3 hours (Call for pricing).
  • Paintball

  • Guided ATV

  • Hayrides

Pavilion
  • The Pavilion is a stand alone 3600 SF space that can be easily converted between enclosed with AC and heat to open air. It is conveniently located close the the Chapel and within walking distance of the main lodge but does provide a degree of separation, if needed, from the main lodge.

    Complete audio-visual equipment package complete with built-in rear projection screens with high-resolution video / data projector, DVD, overhead projector, two easels, two flip-chart pads, markers, microphones (including wireless lapel type) and full sound system. Rough Creek Lodge is located approximately ten miles west of Glen Rose, Texas, a 60 minute drive from Fort Worth and a 90-minute drive from DFW Airport. Assistance is available by calling 888-670-1223.

From Dallas (Show) (Hide)
Take IH-35 south from downtown Dallas. Approximately 5 miles south of downtown Dallas take Hwy 67 (Hwy 67 only goes one way, which is south westerly). You will stay on Hwy 67 for almost exactly 80 miles. Once you get to Glen Rose (70 miles) you will go 10 more miles (you are still on Hwy 67). Once you get to the top of a very tall hill you will see a Rest Area on your right. Slow down to 40 MPH because you are getting ready to take a left turn on County Road 2013 (there is no traffic signal at CR 2013 and you will also see a Rough Creek sign on your right hand side Hwy 67 with an arrow pointing to the left). Take a left on CR 2013 and go 4 miles. You will see the Rough Creek gate on your right. Enter through the gate and go 3 miles and you will arrive at the Lodge.
From DFW Airport (Show) (Hide)
Take the south airport exit from any terminal. After going through the toll plaza, move to the right hand lane. Take the Hwy 183 west/Hwy 360 south exit. After 1 mile, take the Hwy 360 south exit. Stay on Hwy 360 for 13 miles, you will pass Six Flags Over Texas. Take I 20 west towards Ft. Worth. You will stay on I 20 for 16 miles until reaching I 35W south (Waco). Take the I 35W south exit and stay on the highway for 21 miles. You will exit on Hwy 67 in Alvarado. Turn right (south) on Hwy 67. You will stay on Hwy 67 for almost exactly 45 miles. Once you get to Glen Rose (35 miles) you will go 10 more miles (you are still on Hwy 67). Once you get to the top of a very tall hill, you will see a Rest Area on your right. From the downtown area take the IH 35W south and stay on the highway for 27 miles. You will exit on Hwy 67 in Alvarado. Turn right (south) on Hwy 67. You will stay on Hwy 67 for almost exactly 45 miles. Once you get to Glen Rose (35 miles) you will go 10 more miles (you are still on Hwy 67). Once you get to the top of a very tall hill, you will see a Rest Area on your right. Slow down to 40 MPH because you are getting ready to take a left turn on County Road 2013 (there is no traffic signal at CR2013 and you will also see a Rough Creek Lodge sign on the right hand side of Hwy 67 with an arrow pointing to the left).   1. Take IH 35 north to Waco and exit onto Hwy 6 through Meridian to Hico.
  2. In Hico, take Road 220 north until reaching Hwy 67.
  3. Continue onto Hwy 67 north until reaching County Road 2013.
  4. Turn right (south) on County Road 2013.
  5. Continue south for approximately four miles to the Lodge entrance on your right.
  6. Turn right through the gate and follow the road to the Lodge set off to the right.
From Houston (Show) (Hide)
  1. Take US-290 W toward Austin.
  2. Merge onto TX-6 N toward College Station/Bryan.
  3. Take the ramp toward TX-6 N/Meridian/TX-340-Loop.
  4. Stay straight to go onto TX-484-Spur N.
  5. Turn slight left onto TX-340 Loop E/TX-6 N. Continue to follow TX-6 N.
  6. Turn slight right onto W Morgan St/TX-22.
  7. Turn left onto N Main St/TX-144. Continue to follow TX-144.
  8. Turn slight left onto FM 203.
  9. Turn left onto County Road 2014.
  10. Turn right onto County Road 2013.
  11. 5165 County Road 2013 is on the left.
From Austin (Show) (Hide)
  1. Take IH 35 north to Waco.
  2. Exit Hwy 6 west through Meridian to Hico.
