Rough Creek Lodge’s Resort Fee covers many of these activities. Some activities are available at an additional charge and require advance notice. Please contact the Concierge for up-to-the-minute information and ADA accessibility. All prices are for Lodge overnight guests. Guests not staying at the Lodge may incur an additional fee.

Four Wheeling/ ATV

Make your own Ranch excursions or practice your skills on our Junior and Kids Off-road course. Kids experience new thrills under the watchful eye of a guide, while Mom and Dad are free to take photos and video. Terrain is based on the age and abilities of the riders. Kids 8 to 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 21 years or older and all riders must sign a Liability Waiver form. Helmets, goggles and water are provided.

Guided Daytime Tours are available with advance reservations from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. ATVs sized for Adults and children are based on availability. $60 per person per hour.

Private Sunset Tours are available with advance reservations. $75 per rider with a two-rider minimum. Overnight Lodge guests wishing to use their own four-wheelers may do so with a guide, $50 per hour.

Self Guided Tour

Rent one of our six-passenger Kawasaki Mules and explore Rough Creek Lodge and its 11,000 acres. $100 per hour. Adults over 21 must rent and operate the vehicle.

Guided Horseback Tours
Guided horseback tours of the Ranch are available for $70 per person for 90 minutes. Riders must be over eight years old. Horseback rides require advance notice and are based on availability. Contact the Concierge for reservations. Parents must accompany minors.

Ride the Ranch on Your Own Horse
This non-guided ride with your own horse is $50 per horse per day, and $100 per horse per day for non-overnight Lodge guests. We provide 12 x 16’ stalls, water and clean high-quality hay. Current negative Coggins papers are required.

We have numerous trails, ranging from easy to challenging, and short to our longest, 7.5 miles. Be sure to take plenty of water. Our 5-mile Nature Trail features rest and play areas.

According to legend, Billy the Kid and his bride spent their wedding night here at Rough Creek’s Honeymoon Cottage. A shell of the cottage remains and is approximately three miles from the Main Lodge.
