Due to a change in Texas Parks and Wildlife policy, we no longer have the capability to sell hunting licenses on premises. Therefore, you must acquire a Texas Hunting License prior to your arrival. If you already have a license please make sure that it has not expired. All licenses expire on August 31, of the current year.

For your safety, Rough Creek only allows two shooters on the ground at one time. Be assured there is plenty of shooting for everyone. Hunting safety is our first priority, therefore safety instruction will be given to all hunters prior to every hunt.
Guns with improved cylinder or skeet chokes are allowed during hunts.
Guns are not allowed in guest rooms. We can store them in our locked safe in the Beretta Room or you may leave them in your vehicle.

Whitetail Deer Hunting season correlates to the Texas Parks & Wildlife designations. We hunt in two counties, Somervell and Erath. Our entire deer population is free ranging, not high-fenced. We use tree stands, tripods and ground blinds over feeders on 11,000 acres.

Hog & Varmint Hunting
$250 for guided hunt & $250 for Harvest fees--Coyote, Bobcat, Fox or Feral Hog
Join us for hog and varmint hunting—our packages include your choice of after dark or morning hunting.
Includes: a professional guide, carpeted blind with chairs, feeder with motion activated lights, handheld laser illumination for night hunts, complimentary use of a Colt AR 15, and guide will call for coyotes before hunt is over.

Hogs and Dogs: This is non-stop action as our specially trained hog dogs find and catch a wild pig. You will accompany Rough Creek guides in an All Terrain Mule (kind of like a 4 wheel golf cart) as our dogs move through the fields with GPS tracking units attached to their collars. This activity is generally done in the evening before sunset or shortly after sunrise and is approximately two hours long.

We follow the Texas Parks & Wildlife rules for harvesting awards. All hunters are required to be H.I.P (Harvest Information Program) certified, have a valid hunting license with valid state and federal duck stamps.
